Course Levels

On the first day of classes, you will take a placement test in order to determine your proficiency level. Thus you can be certain to learn Spanish in a group of students who all have similar language skills. In average one course level can be completed in approximately 80 to 100 lessons.

Prerequisites	Participants with no previous knowledge
Course Objectives	To use simple phrases about personal details and daily needs. To establish basic social contact by using simple everyday polite: greetings and farewells; introductions; saying please, thank you, sorry, etc.

Prerequisites	100-120 Spanish lessons
Course Objectives	To produce brief, everyday expressions to satisfy simple needs: personal details, daily routines, wants and needs, requests for information. To use basic sentence patterns and communicate with memorised phrases, groups of a few words about themselves and other people, what they do, places, possessions etc.

Prerequisites	200-220 Spanish lessons approx.
Course Objectives	To have enough language to get by, with sufficient vocabulary to express him/herself with some hesitation and circumlocutions on topics such as family, hobbies and interests, work, travel, and current events, although with some repetition and difficulty with formulation at times. Has a repertoire of basic language which enables him/her to deal with everyday situations with predictable content.

Prerequisites	300-320 Spanish lessons approx.
Course Objectives	To have a sufficient range of language to give clear descriptions, express viewpoints and develop arguments without much searching for words, using some complex sentence forms. To have enough language to describe unpredictable situations and express thoughts on abstract or cultural topics such as music and films. With some effort, to keep up with and contribute to group discussions even when speech is fast and colloquial.

Prerequisites	420-450 Spanish lessons approx.
Course Objectives	To select an appropriate construction from a broad range of language to express him/herself clearly, without having to restrict what he/she wants to say. To follow films using a considerable degree of slang and idiomatic usage. To use language effectively for social purposes, including emotional, allusive and joking usage.

Certificates

Participants of both short and long-term courses will receive a detailed certificate at the end stating information on level and length of the respective course.
