Arts and Crafts

Arts and Crafts Programme During the years Estudio Sampere, Cuenca, has developed activities in the arts and crafts field with success. Cuenca is a city with an important tradition in both traditional crafts and contemporary arts and the Arts & Crafts program is based in this fact. Students enroled in this special 10 lessons per week program will receive hands-on training in traditionat crafts such as weaving, hand crafted and wheel turned pottery and basketry. From the arts field training is available in painting and drawing as well as in traditional and contemporary dance, theater and corporal expression. This program is aimed to students who, in adition to the Spanish and culture lessons, are searching for ways of self expression and leisure. We think that this program will be a very enjoyable one and Cuenca is one of the best places for this experience.

The Arts & Crafts program includes:

  • Daily traditional and contemporary arts and crafts hands-on training lessons.
  • Professional instructors for group and individual classes.
  • Workshop facilities and tools.
  • Visit to traditional and contemporary artists in their studios.
  • Visit to craft popular markets.
  • Materials are not included in the price, a list will be provided in the first day of class.
